The UU Legislative Ministry, CA depends on the participation
of UU congregations and individuals in sympathy with Unitarian Universalists
principles and values.
When you join UU Legislative Ministry, we invite you to
fill out our Issues Survey, to tell our board which issues you believe
are the most important for California Unitarian Universalists to address
in the coming year. Take the survey now.
We welcome the formal affiliation of California UU congregations.
A first step is to invite a speaker from the UU Legislative Ministry to
lead a worship service, workshop, or meet with your board of directors.
Please read the congregational covenant
information for further details about opportunities and expectations for
collaboration.

Our Executive Director, members of our UULM Worship Team,
Board members, and other UULM volunteers are most willing to lead or assist
with a Sunday morning worship service. We are also available to
help with a workshop for a cluster of congregations. Please contact
our office if you are interested in arranging for a Sunday worship
service, or other program.
One of the most enjoyable ways to help the UU Legislative
Ministry is to organize and/or host a house or garden party fundraiser
to benefit UULM. A UULM House Party is a great way to meet interesting
and committed UUs from other congregations in your area, and to get the
latest update on UULM's development from our Executive Director.
Our volunteer fundraising task force and UULM's Executive Assistant are
happy to help you get started. Please contact us at admin@uulmca.org.
There are lots of opportunities for service. UULM needs
community organizers, researchers, artists, computer technicians, writers,
musicians, photographers, analysts, worship leaders, planners, historians.
We need good listeners to interview and get to know other UU in their
region.
Hands on help with writing and mailing the newsletter, translating
materials into Spanish, making phone calls, working on an issue campaign,
are all jobs that could use volunteers. Please call or email our office
so that we may get acquainted and find just the right job for your time,
talent, and interests. E-mail lramsden@uulmca.org or call (916)441-0018.
