With its focus on storytelling as a vehicle for building community the UU Voices for health care action series is a great way to explore healthcare issues in the local congregation. The six session curriculum covers topics such as who pays for health care, health equity, the history of healthcare and how to develop a congregational action plan. The first session begins with sharing personal health care stories, and there is a bonus session for the gathering of stories from the congregation at large. The curriculum is an opportunity for congregations to be a part of a larger UULM California project as we gather stories from UUs about their experiences with healthcare and link these stories across the state creating a web of support and action around this seminal and core issue for our country.
Each curriculum is $15 ($10 for materials and $5 for shipping) It includes a leader's guide which and any materials required for participants, including three videos.
